Learners will explore how laws are created, how regulation is applied in practice, and why compliance matters at both organisational and individual level. The module brings complex legislation to life, helping learners understand not just what the rules are, but how they shape behaviour, protect consumers and support good outcomes across the industry.
By the end of this module, learners will be able to confidently navigate the legal and regulatory framework governing the debt collection industry. They will understand how key legislation and regulators impact their role, recognise the consequences of non-compliance, and apply regulatory principles in real-world scenarios. Learners will also be better equipped to identify risks, protect consumers, and support fair, compliant and proportionate outcomes in line with regulatory expectations.
