There is a wide range of organisations that support, influence, or interact with the collections sector including creditors, tracing agents, credit reference agencies, debt advice organisations, claims management companies, regulatory bodies and more.

This module will explore the roles of these organisations, and the impact they have on the collections sector and the way they fit together within he wider collections ecosystem.

Module outcomes

By the end of this module, learners will be able to identify the key organisations that support and influence the collections sector and explain the role each plays. They will understand how regulatory bodies, advisers, service providers and industry groups interact with creditors and customers, and how these relationships affect debt recovery, consumer outcomes and industry standards. This knowledge will help learners place their own role within the wider sector and operate with greater awareness of regulatory, operational and consumer considerations.
