By the end of this module, learners will understand the purpose of debt collection and its role in supporting the UK economy, as well as the historical development of the debt collection industry and how it has evolved over time. They will be able to identify the main organisations involved in debt collection and the roles they play, recognise common collection methods and techniques and understand the importance of using them appropriately, gain insight into what it is like to work within the industry, and understand the external influences that impact how debt collection organisations operate.
