The Learner Voice: Issue One
You said - We did
Firstly, a big thank you to everyone for your ongoing feedback. We wouldn’t be here without you, and we certainly couldn’t ensure we are providing the best possible learning experiences without your ongoing feedback.
Feedback has been largely positive, with overall programme satisfaction scoring 84% in March 2026 Learner Pulse Survey. One learner said:
“I have been well supported throughout the training, and the goals have been clear. There are plenty of opportunities to reach out and ask for help.” - March 2026 Pulse Survey Feedback
That being said, there is always room for improvement. Here at CSA Learning we aim to please, so we want to provide some insight into some improvements we made after receiving learner feedback.

I don’t get the workshop slides before the workshop
We did:
Workshop slides are designed to support active learning during the session, helping learners engage with the tasks, discussions and activities as they unfold. To keep that learning experience meaningful, we are looking at other ways to help you prepare before the workshop.
As an alternative to sharing slides before the workshop, we are working on delivering "module outline documents" for tutors to provide before workshops. These documents will provide an overview of the core learning for the workshop so learners can be informed of the content they will be covering during the session. We hope that this helps everyone feel as prepared as possible for their workshops.
For those with additional learning needs, please speak to your tutor or coach if you require the slides before the session as part of your support plan.

I got a replacement coach and it feels different.
We did:
Another focus that you may not be aware of here at CSA Learning Central has been ensuring that all our wonderful coaches that support you have the best support too. We have developed a standardisation framework for our coaches to ensure a consistent approach and to ensure that all criteria and needs are met for everybody and that coaches feel well equipped to provide the best support to individual's needs.

The training video didn’t load.
We did:
We recognise that some training materials may occasionally present technical issues for learners. Our team works proactively to identify and resolve these issues to maintain a smooth learning experience. However, due to the pace of technological change occasional issues can still arise from time to time.
If you encounter issues when accessing CSA Learning training materials, we recommend that you try again from an alternative device and/or an alternative network. This can help determine whether the issue is specific to your device or internet connection.
In most cases, technical issues arise as a result of organisational firewall or security settings that block access to specific training content. As these settings are managed by your organisation, they are unfortunately beyond our control.
If you continue to experience difficulties accessing training materials, please contact helpdesk@csa-uk.com or let your coach know.

The link to the Workshop Evaluation Feedback Form isn’t working
We did:
In February this year we moved to a new system and tutors now issue a new link/QR code to access the Workshop Evaluation form. You no longer get a confirmation email (however we are working to change this) and instead are asked to upload your workshop slides to BUD. The link/QR code is always the same.
If it is working for others but not for you, try accessing the link from a different device and/or a different network. If the problem persists, contact Josephine.reuss@csa-uk.com.

The workload & workshop structure is too long, too dense, too infrequent
We did:
With exception to the Tobacco & Vapes Level 6 Trading Standards Programme, which has been designed as a condensed course, workshops should be scheduled every two months to ensure time to work on assignments between delivery. However, we are working on producing "module outline documents" for all apprenticeships. Some may already have benefitted from these, but all should be seeing them shortly. The documents give an outline of what to expect in the workshops and should help learners better prepare for the workshop days.

The assignment requirements were unclear and complex
We did:
We are working on producing differentiated resources and building a bank of differentiated assignments that your tutor can select on Bud.

The expectations for my KSBs and EPA were unclear
We did:
You can find a breakdown of KSB's in the new module outline documents, but your tutor should also be able to provide a hard copy of KSBs differentiated for Pass/Distinction.
